I am a big fan of granola… I find it super versatile, I add it to yoghurt, have it with milk, sprinkle in on pancakes, eat it with berries, blend it in a smoothie and I even just eat it with a spoon straight out of the container. But because I eat so much of it, I have started noticing how expensive it is to buy and how many additives there are in the store bought brands. I recently purchased one that was $9.99 for about 500g of granola, which lasted me about 4 days, that adds up quick!
So I have been making my own at home and the good news is, it’s super easy and way cheaper. Its a great one to make with kids, I make it with my son Odin and it generally lasts about a week, if Odin doesn’t eat it all during the cooking process!
To calculate price, I bought all the items new and it’s costs me $35. With the quantities I bought that will make me about 5 batches, each batch is about twice the size of the packets in the store.
